The Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho was the hero for Leicester City on Saturday, 7 August, 2021 scoring the decisive goal for the team as they lifted the Community Shield.
Iheanacho came off the bench to replace Harvey Barnes in the 80th minute and won the penalty when he was brought down in the box by Dutch defender, Nathan Ake.
He dusted himself up and blasted the resultant penalty into the top corner for the only goal of the match in the 89th minute.
It was a deserved victory for the FA Cup winners for their tenacity and robust defensive display.
They created the best chances especially in the first half when striker Jamie Verdy hit the post.
