Houses and vehicles have been engulfed by fire on Monday night along Akinbode Street, off Olateju Street, Mushin, Lagos.
This was made known by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service in a statement published on Facebook.
The statement was signed by the agency’s director, Mrs Adeseye Margaret.
“Response teams have been activated to the scene of the inferno,” the agency stated.
It was however disclosed that restive youths are hindering access to the scene.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service urged members of the public not to panic as the Police and other security agencies have been alerted to intervene and create access to the scene for firemen to quell the ensuing inferno.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service command and control room has received an emergency alert that houses and vehicles are being burnt along Akinbode Street, off Olateju Street, Mushin, Lagos.
