Former Commander of the Force Intelligence Response Team, DCP Abba Kyari, has been granted a two-week bail by an Abuja Federal High Court to enable him to return home and complete the burial rites of his late mother.
Kyari is currently facing drug-related charges filed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) following his arrest on February 14, 2022.
The court has set Friday, May 31 for the determination of his bail application in the trial.
In a related development, Abba Kyari was also granted N50 million bail in a separate charge in which he and two of his siblings were accused of failing to declare assets to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) .
