After spending 24 years behind bars for a crime he didn’t commit, Lukman Adeyemi has finally been exonerated and released from prison. His journey to freedom was made possible by the tireless efforts of the Centre for Justice Mercy and Reconciliation (CJMR), led by Pastor Hezekiah Olujobi.
Adeyemi’s story is one of loyalty, perseverance, and the power of advocacy. Wrongfully accused and imprisoned, he faced unimaginable hardships, including torture and loneliness. Yet, he never lost hope, and his determination to clear his name ultimately led to his release.
The CJMR’s intervention was instrumental in uncovering the truth and securing Adeyemi’s freedom. Their dedication to justice and rehabilitation has given hope to many wrongfully convicted individuals, and their work serves as a beacon of light in a sometimes flawed justice system.
Adeyemi’s story is a testament to the human spirit’s capacity to overcome adversity and a reminder that justice, though sometimes delayed, can still prevail. As he begins his new life, he is grateful for the support of those who believed in his innocence and fought for his freedom.
