After a three storey building Collapsed today at Oyesonuga street in Mushin area of Lagos state.
LASEMA and other first responders have been working tirelessly to rescued victims under the rubbles of the callapsed building at the scene.
Seven occupant of the this collapsed building were trapped under the debris, and LEGENDNEWS gathered that unfortunately four out of the seven Victims recovererd had been confirmed dead, three was rescued alive, and has been given first aid treatment before moving them to the hospital for proper treatment.
Meanwhile, the Four dead bodies have been handed over to SEHMU unit for on ward deposit to Mortuary.
Eyewitness said the building collapsed tilted forward and there was soakaway in front of the structure.
Before part of the building eventually collapsed, it was revealed that the building has been given signs in the last three days specifically Tuesday, but the residents and neighbours ignore the signs
The underground part of the building serves as club, while part of the main structure is being used as residential.
According to the Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu,
PS LASEMA in a press statement e-signed and issued at the scene of the incident, stated that “Update as at 19:49hrs, After a painstaking search, three female has been rescued from the rubble alive. This brings the total recovered bodies from the incident scene to THREE. The victim has received first aid at the scene and they have been transferred to hospital. Four dead bodies recovered (2 males and 2 females), have been handed over to SEHMU unit for on ward deposit to Mortuary
It was further said that Operations still ongoing at the scene and More updates to follow, PS LASEMA said’.
