A heartbreaking incident occurred on May 15, 2024, at a bar along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, leaving the community in shock. A man in his 50s, whose identity and address are yet to be determined, visited the bar to unwind and watch TV but was later found lifeless on a chair.
According to a statement by the Lagos State Police Command, the bar owner reported the incident at the Elere Division around 7:00 pm. The deceased had arrived at the bar around 6:15 pm, and after initially appearing to be sleeping, was discovered to be unresponsive and lifeless.
Detectives from the Elere Division visited the scene and found no signs of violence or foul play. The body has been taken to the Mainland General Hospital mortuary in Yaba, Lagos, and efforts are underway to locate the man’s family and loved ones.
