…TMT PLEDGE FULL ALLIANCE WITH SWAGA.
On Thursday 14 October 2021 Tinubu Media Team (TMT) became the latest group to pledge full alliance to the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA). Various political groups have continued to align and realign with the common goal of mounting pressure on the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Governor Emeritus of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to contest for the 2023 presidential race in Nigeria.
The former executive chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Lagos State and National Patron of TMT Comrade Ayodele Adewale in company of the National Cordinator and Founder of Tinubu Media Team (TMT) Mr. Mohammed Bello Doka paid a courtesy visit to one of the brains and major force behind SWAGA and a National Officer of the group Mr. Kola Perigrino at his office in Lagos on Thursday 14th October 2021.
The visit which was not unconnected to the 2023 presidential elections and for TMT, a mass based campaign organisation with over two hundred and fifty thousand followers that cuts across the 36 states, 774 local governments in Nigeria including the federal capital territory Abuja and cells across the continents requested to form a major alliance with SWAGA.
With a strong membership base of over 200,000 online followers in Nigeria,TMT’s core focus is to advocate and compel the former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of APC Senator Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu to contest for the office of President Commander in Chief of the Nigerian armed forces and secure the highly reverered seat come 2023.
While speaking, Mr. Mohammed Bello Doka who flew in from Zamfara State solely for the meeting appreciated Mr. Kola
Perigrino for granting him the rare privilege of informing and reiterating the organisations support and commitment towards the actualization of Asiwaju Presidency in 2023.
He also appreciated the SWAGA leader for the guidiance being rendered so far to all Asiwaju support groups.
Furthermore, Mr. Bello Doka appreciated Comrade Ayodele Adewale for energising and restoring the confidence of the TMT organization and also for his conscious and deliberate efforts to position TMT on the political map regarding Asiwaju’s Presidency.
Comrade Ayodele Adewale while speaking, described Mr. Perigrino as one of the major brains behind the SWAGA movement not just in Lagos and Southwest, but in Nigeria as a whole. The former Council boss appreciated Mr. Perigrino, who had held the position of APC Lagos Organising Secretary for 12 years, for accepting the TMT organization.
He averred that the purpose of the visit was for the TMT to verbally and openly pledge its allegiance to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also to appeal that TMT be accepted as footsoldiers and field commanders for the SWAGA movement given their wide regional reach.
Comrade Ayodele assured Mr. Perigrino that TMT is ready to work assiduously with other support groups in order to change the nomenclature of the former Governor of Lagos State to PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU by May 29th 2023.
Responding, Mr. Kola Perigrino described Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a highly detribalized man of honour who has the interest of the masses at heart. He described Asiwaju as a Don in his political dealings quoting from the words of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and assured Mr. Bello Doka of a symbiotic relationship between the SWAGA movement and TMT.
Mr. Perigrino also eulogised Comrade Ayodele for his sagacity, stating that he had no cause to doubt the judgement of the erstwhile Council Chief of Amuwo Odofin LGA as Comrade Ayodele’s consistency in the political terrain in Lagos and Nigeria has finally earned him the adoption as Organizing Secretary of APC by members of the party. He congratulated him in advance ahead of the formal All Progressive Congress (APC) State Congress coming up on Saturday 16th October 2023.
Mr. Mohammed Bello Doka will be going back to Abuja on Friday October 16 .
