A Truck conveying 20ft container was involved in solitary accident and fell in the middle of the road at onipanu enroute Ojuelegba inward Barracks, Surulere,Lagos.
It was disclosed by an eye witness to The Legend News that the accident happened as a result of over speeding and reckless driving by the driver of the truck.
This was contained in a statement issued by Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu
PS LASEMA, it states “Upon arrival of the Cobra team at the incident scene it was observed that a truck conveying 20ft container had a solitary accident and had fallen in the middle of the road.
“No casualty was recorded. Further investigation at the incident scene revealed that the accident occurred as a result of over speeding and reckless driving by the driver of the truck.
PS LASEMA said that “A joint team comprising LASTMA and the Nigerian Police are working managing traffic. The Agency’s heavy duty equipment has been dispatched in order to recover the impediment off the road.
“The container has been recovered off the road with the aid of the Agency’s heavy duty equipment Forklift and place by the side of the road.
“Recovery concluded, Cobra team with the Agency’s heavy duty equipment are heading back to base in good condition,he added.
