A fully loaded 40ft containerized truck suddenly lost control as a result of a mechanical fault, veered off the road and fell by its side inorder to avoid head collision with another truck driver who was driving against traffic at Obadeyi inward Meiran along Lagos Abeokuta Expressway.
According to the Parmanent Secretary, LASEMA,Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu who issued a statement that stated the situation report.
PS LASEMA said “On arrival of the Agency’s response team to the scene, a fallen Forty ft containerised truck with an unknown registration number was found on the road.
“Information gathered revealed the truck driver veered off the road while trying to avoid collision with another truck who was driving against traffic.
He further said that “No casualties was however recorded at the scene.LRT, Lastma and NPF were all responders at the scene.
“The containerised truck has been successfully recovered off the road with the Agency’s forklift.
“Recovery operation concluded. Traffic flow has been restored.No further update.
