A 40ft container purposely built for Gas tube skids(12 cylinders in it) when it was trying to make a U-turn at the junction, suddenly fell on its side from a lowbed with registration KRD-380YC, at Majidun inwards Ikorodu in Lagos.
Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary, LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu e-signed and issued a press statement.
He said “the Agency responded to the above location to discover that a 40 ft container purposebuilt for Gas tube skids(12 cylinders in it) had fallen on its side from a lowbed with registration KRD-380YC.
“Investigation conducted by the Agency’s LRT revealed that while the truck was trying to make a U-turn at the junction, the container fell in the process resulting in complete obstruction of vehicular movement .
No loss of life nor injury recorded.
The Truck driver has unfortunately absconded from the scene although emergency responders( Agency’s LRT alongside Nigeria police force, LASTMA) are currently on ground to ensure traffic control management to avoid any secondary incident.
The Agency’s LRT awaits the arrival of the Agency’s heavy-duty equipment(crane) to aid its recovery from the road.
