A truck conveying a mobile cold room fully loaded was involved in a lone accident and fell on its side blocking the entire road inward Oba Akran, Lagos.
In a statement issued by Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, PS LASEMA, it was revealed that on getting to the scene of the inciden,it was discovered that a truck with registration number conveying a mobile cold room fully loaded was involved in a lone accident.
According to PS, LASEMA, further information gathered disclosed that the incident occured due to reckless driving, the truck driver who was turning into Ikeja off Mobolaji bank Anthony way while on high speed. Lost control and fell on its side blocking the entire road inward Oba Akran.
No casualty nor mortality was recorded at the scene of the incident.
Agencies on ground includes The Agency’s LRT, LASTMA rescue and police.
The Agency’s heavy duty equipment Goliath ll be required for swift recovery of the impediment, recovery operations pending as we await the Agency’s heavy duty equipment (Goliath) for recovery.
The affected truck and container has been recoverd off the road and handed over to the LASTMA officer at the scene of the incident, Roadis now free and safe for vehicular activities, recovery operations concluded, LRT and equipment heading back to base in good condition, he said.
