One of the students who spoke to new reporters narrated how it all went down.

The student narrated that the robbers were heavily armed as they came with machetes, axes and guns for the operation. They were estimated to be about 20.

The source and other students were in their hostel when they heard the gunshot which lasted for about 10 minutes. They ran away from their hostel as the robbers hadn’t gotten to their hostel at that time. They ran and hid at the back of some shops in the area.
