A compassionate cleric, a Methodist Presbyter from Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, serving in Atamunu Diocese, The Very Rev’rd Goodvd. Lt. Saviour Ibanga, Jp, has vehemently appeal to Nigerians to pray fervently for recovery of top actor and Nollywood movies star, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, who is presently on hospital admissions for acute sickness.
Reverend Ibanga while making the public appeal recalled his refreshing meeting with Mr. Ibu years back. It is still evergreen to him.
“I met this veteran Nollywood star Mr. Ibu 3years ago in Enugu. We both gave each other a reason to laugh and express our hearts for meeting each other.
“Mr. Ibu: “Father, you too tall and fine. Come and act film. “Me: I am not a Catholic Priest, don’t call me Father, call me Rev. I am a Methodist Priest”.
“Mr. Ibu: Methodist get fine Priest like this? “Me: you never see one before? We plenty ooooooo”.
“The memory is evergreen. Today, he’s in sick bed. Just say a word of prayer for him as you may not be financially strong to support his medical bills.
