Professor Babatunde Oni (SAN)
Professor Babatunde Oni (SAN) of the Department of Private and Property Law, Faculty of Law, University of Lagos (UNILAG) has been elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC).
Professor Oni (SAN) is the only Nigeria’s law teacher that was decorated with the Highest legal rank at a ceremony held on Monday, November 27, 2023.
Professor Oni (SAN) is also the only academic out of the fifty-eight (58) newly appointed SANs to receive this prestigious elevation, which, according to the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court and LPPC Secretary, Hajo Sarki Bello, Esq., is a mark of excellence for distinguished advocacy and academic contributions to legal practice.
