The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, has said that policemen who were caught on video shooting sporadically to rub the ego and hype a musician in Kano city have been identified and arrested.
According to CSP Adejobi, the Force condemns the actions, saying it is unprofessional and an act of indiscipline.
Adejobi said: “The policemen have been identified and arrested.
“They will be brought to the Force Headquarters for an interview and necessary disciplinary action.
“Such an act is un-police and cannot be condoned in any way.
“So, we appreciate the concern of well-meaning Nigerians and groups who have forwarded the video to us for our attention and action.
“We will continue to adopt and embrace innovations and ideas that can propel productive turnarounds in the Police.”
In a statement released on Saturday, April 8, the Force spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, condemned the acts of the policemen and said they have been identified and arrested. The statement read;

The NPF has condemned the Unprofessionalism and act of indiscipline displayed by the policemen caught in the video that is trending where some policemen were seen firing shots to rob the ego and hype a musician in the Kano city recently.
The policemen have been identified and arrested. They will be brought to the Force Headquarters for interview and necessary disciplinary action. Such an act is unpolice and can not be condoned in any way. So, we appreciate the concern of well-meaning Nigerians and groups who have forwarded the video to us for our attention and action. We will continue to adopt and embrace innovations and ideas that can propel productive turnarounds in the Police.
