Oral Health : Here Are Natural Ways To Remove Yellow, Brown Stains Off Your Teeth | The Legend News

If you’re looking to whiten your teeth, some remedies may help. But be careful with at-home whitening products to avoid damaging your teeth and removing your enamel. This could put you at risk for sensitivity and cavities.

Changes in the color of your teeth may be subtle and happen gradually. Some yellow color may be inevitable.

Teeth can look more yellow or darken, especially as you age. As the outer enamel wears away, the yellowy dentin underneath becomes more visible. Dentin is the second layer of calcified tissue beneath the outside enamel layer.

There are several natural ways to remove yellow stains from teeth:
1. BRUSH WITH BAKING SODA:
According to Healthline, Baking soda has natural whitening properties and can effectively remove surface stains. Mix a small amount of baking soda with water to make a paste and brush your teeth with it for two minutes, then rinse your mouth with water.
2. USE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE: Hydrogen peroxide is a mild bleaching agent and can help whiten teeth. Mix equal parts of 3% hydrogen peroxide and water, swish it around in your mouth for 30 seconds, and then spit it out. Rinse your mouth with water afterward.
3. OIL PULLING:
Oil pulling involves swishing oil in your mouth to remove bacteria and plaque. Coconut oil is a popular choice for oil pulling. Put a tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth and swish it around for 15-20 minutes. Spit it out and rinse your mouth with water.4. EAT CRUNCHY FRUITS AND VEGETABLES:
Crunchy fruits and vegetables such as apples, carrots, and celery can help remove surface stains on teeth. They act as natural abrasives and help to scrub away plaque.
5. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER: Drinking plenty of water can help wash away food particles and bacteria from your mouth. It also helps to keep your mouth hydrated and reduces the production of stain-causing bacteria. Remember, these methods may take some time to show results, and it’s important to maintain good oral hygiene practices, such as brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and visiting your dentist regularly, to prevent further staining and maintain overall oral health.
