Reports from eye witnesses said the bikers were abokis (Hausas from the Northern part of Nigeria) who were seen carrying planks and daring the men of the police force.

The reason for the drama was that the officers ceased their bikes after they have paid their dues for the day.

This now raged the riders who demanded to get their ceased rides from the police custody which led to the death of a police and unrest within the areas.
