Ogun LG Election: Political bigwigs  Sarafah Ishola, Mustapha, Olopade, Okedara Endorse Oyegbola-Sodipo For Abeokuta North LGA Chair | The Legend News 

The prospect of electoral victory in the forthcoming November 16 local government election in Ogun State got brighter for Hon. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Abeokuta North LGA, as notable political bigwigs in the council area have endorsed his candidacy. 

During separate courtesy visits to the highly-influential politicians and community leaders in continuation of his ward-to-ward campaign tour across the 16 wards in the council area, they pledged their solidarity and support for Oyegbola-Sodipo, describing him as the right man for the job. 

The leading political chieftains include Ambassador Sarafah Ishola, Chief Bode Mustapha, and Alhaji Bakai Okedara. 

While receiving the APC candidate, Chief Mustapha  said: “I wholeheartedly endorse Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo for the chairmanship of Abeokuta North Local Government. I have watched you dedication to our party’s values and commitment to community development over a long period of time, which makes you the ideal leader for our local government. I have no doubt, you will deliver on your campaign promises and bring positive transformation to communities in the local government.” 

On his part, Amb. Sarafah Ishola said: “I have taken note of you as an active member of the APC youth wing and the vital role you played in the February 2023 general elections. I’ve seen first-hand the qualities that make Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo an exceptional leader. Your knowledge of the needs of people at the grassroots, and ability to rally other people to do things that will serve our communities well are qualities that I think will benefit our local government.  I strongly endorse you for the Abeokuta North Local Government chairmanship position and urge all party members to support him.” 

While also affirming his support, a prominent leader of the party, Alhaji Okedara, stated: “Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the issues affecting people in our local government. Your vision for economic growth and development aligns with our party’s goals, and I have no doubt you will create opportunities for our communities to thrive. I proudly endorse you for the position of chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government.” 

Oyegbola-Sodipo in his assurances to the parry chieftains, promised his unwavering commitment to improve the lives of people of the local government upon assuming office. He said he would ensure faithful implementation of all the cardinal programmes encapsulated in the ‘Iseya’ developmental agenda of the administration of the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun. 

He thanked the leaders for their support, noting that their endorsements not only highlighted his strengths, values and vision which he embodied, but served as an encouragement for him to provide excellent leadership for the local government. 

“I am immensely humbled by the support and endorsements that we have received from our highly-respected fathers and leaders. This is humbling for me because throwing their heavyweights behind me means their expectation is high in terms of excellent service delivery to the people of Abeokuta North LGA. I want to assure them that this trust and confidence reposed in me will be held as a sacred reminder to give my best to our people,” Oyegbola-Sodipo asserted.
