Speaking at the conferment, His Royal Majesty stated that YBO is being recognized for his consistency and contributions to public relations in Nigeria, Africa, and the world at large. According to him, both recipients were further selected to bring the same level of passion to the advancement of Oke-Ona Egba.

He used the opportunity to urge more people to get involved in upholding the tradition and culture of their homesteads, which are fast being eroded by modernization .
YBO in responding, thanked His Royal Majesty and the traditional council for the honour done to both he and his wife promising to ensure that the impact of their inclusion in the traditional council is most positively felt.
