Lawmaker Give Free Medical Outreach To 100,000 Less privileged In Kaduna | The Legend News

One hundred thousand less privileged individuals, including women and children, have received free medical care in eight Local Government Areas of Southern Kaduna senatorial district as part of a Federal Government Constituency Intervention Project.

Amos Gwamna, the representative for Zango Kataf and Jaba Federal Constituency, shared this during the health programme, and a visit to some patients who had undergone surgery at various primary healthcare centres in the eight local government areas and the government General Hospital in Kafanchan.

Over the years less privileged individuals, including women and children in Southern Kaduna, have suffered from chronic health issues that have gone untreated due to lack of funds.

To tackle this, Representative Amos Gwamna, Who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Health Services, facilitated free medical services through his Constituency Intervention Project, aiming to alleviate the suffering of the affected persons in Southern Kaduna.

Patients suffering from eye issues such as glaucoma and cataracts received surgeries, and free reading glasses were distributed.

Complicated, surgeries were performed, dealing with complex conditions such as fibroids, hernias and appendicitis.

Dr. Livinus Yusuf, leader of the surgical team, reported that there were successful outcomes in all the surgeries conducted. Additionally, they remain resolute in ensuring that they attend to all of the patients who were registered for the surgery.

Some beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude, describing the initiative as a much-needed relief for their community which they have been waiting for over the years.

The former Councilor of Ara Ward in the Sanga Local Government area Samuel Audu said that he has never seen this kind of gigantic project in his community appraise the performance of Amos Gwamna Magaji Chairman of the House Committee on Health Services saying that the member is representing Zongo and Jaba Federal Constituency but has extended the kind gesture across all the eight local government areas of Southern Kaduna prayed to God to increase the member to a better position than his current office.

Dorcas Mohammed, a Beneficiary, said that she and her parents and many others were suffering from critical illness for a very long time, appreciating the Gwamna for bringing succour to the community.

Amos Gwamna, Who sponsored a bill in the 9th Assembly for the establishment of a Federal medical centre in Southern Kaduna, reiterates commitment to the actualization of the centre in Kafanhan, as the Gwantu traditional council.

appealed for the establishment of more primary healthcare centres and general hospital in the Sanga Local Government Area to reduce health challenges facing the axis they also want the government to increase a twenty-bed primary healthcare centre in the area to a 100 one hundred beds general hospital in gwantu to enable people from remote villages to access the facility for adequate healthcare service delivery to the rural dwellers.
