The Legend News reports, Flash floods sweep some part of Lagos, causing building collapse after heavy rainfall in Lagos state.
The newly constructed two storey building collapsed which occurred at 12, Cameroun street, off Ewenla, Mushin, Lagos.
The report stated that seven people have been rescued alive, but authorities urge caution. LASEMA and emergency services on high alert, responding to distress calls.
According to the statement signed by Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu,

It states,”Upon arrival of the LRT at the scene of the incident it was discovered that a newly constructed two storey building had collapsed.
“Seven (7) people, 3 females and 4 males were rescued alive and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Agency, search and rescue team have searched the rubble and can confirmed that there is no victim underneath the collapsed building. The area had been cordoned off.
“In regards to the inclement weather, all emergency services are available to respond to 112/767 calls under the watchful eye of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, he said.
Furthermore, The Agency and other key responders are on high Alert while urging the good people of Lagos to remain calm and refrain from any non-essential travels due to the incidence of FLASH FLOODS across the State.
Although, the flood have already beginning to dissipate and we urge people to remain calm and be vigilant, he added.

FINAL REPORT ON THE COLLAPSED BUILDING AT 12, CAMEROUN STREET, MUSHIN
A newly completed two-storey building suddenly collapsed on an adjoining bungalow as a result of sub-standard materials used in the construction.
The impact of the collapsed building affected seven adults, three adult females, and 4 adult males.
The collapsed building has been marked for structural and integrity testing by Lagos State Building Control Agency and Lagos State Material Testing Laboratory.
Responders at the scene of the incident include the Agency’s response team alongside LRU Fire unit, LASBCA, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, LASAMBUS, LNSC, FRSC and NPF.
