Unknown people have secretly vandalized NNPC pipeline at Ijedodo area of Ikotun in Lagos .
As a result of this, some quantities of leaked petroleum product (petrol) were visible on the land surface at the scene of the incident.

PS LASEMA in a statement issued,it stated the situation report of the incident.
It states,”On arrival at the incident scene, the Agency’s response team found some visible quantities of leaked petroleum product (petrol) on the land surface.
Investigation conducted by the Agency’s response team revealed the immediate cause of the leaked petroleum product was due to damaged pipelines.
According to the report,the affected area has been cordoned off immediately the bad incident was discovered.
Also,the maintenance department of the NNPC had been duly informed about the incident. Hence, valves connecting to the incident scene had been shut off.
This has ultimately reduced the risk significantly.
To cap it all, the Agency’s response team, as well as Lagos Fire service, NSCDC Anti-Vandal Units, and the Nigeria Police (Isheri Osun Division) were the first responders that averted the secondary incident that would have resulted to loss of lives,and the entire community is now safe with no palpable tension recorded.
