The Kano state government has taken drastic measures following a court judgment that reinstated Aminu Ado Bayero as Emir of Kano.
The government has directed the Commissioner of Police to immediately remove the 15th Emir from the Nassarawa Palace, which is state-owned.
Furthermore, the government has announced plans to demolish the palace and its properties for reconstruction purposes, effectively ousting Emir Bayero from his reinstated position.
This move comes as a surprise development in the ongoing saga surrounding the Kano emirate.
