Nigeria’s Justice Roli Harriman, has been elected as the President of the CAF Appeals Board. Her meritorious election was held yesterday at the Ordinary General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football, CAF in Abidjan, the capital city of Cote d’Ivoire,(Ivory Coast.).
The esteemed Nigerian Judge was elected to replace compatriot A. U. Mustapha (SAN), at the head of CAF’s supreme judicial body. She will assisted by Fernando Valera Monteiro from Cape Verde, who was elected during the election to serve as Vice President of the Appeals Board.
Other elected CAF Appeals Board officials elected alongside Justice Harriman are Ousmane Kane, from Senegal, who will serve as the new President of the CAF Disciplinary Board, and will be assisted by Jane Njeri Onyango from Kenya. She will serve as Vice President.
The Legend News investigation reveals the Justice Harriman’s election was inspired by her outstanding track record in the legal profession within and outside Nigeria. The 62 years old Delta State-born High Court Judge, was a former lecturer at the Nigerian Law School. She is presently also an Alternative Dispute Resolution Judge in Delta State, since January 2013. She hails from Warri, Delta State.
Meanwhile, the President Oritseweyinmi Agbateyiniro-led Itsekiri National Youths Council (INYC), has heartily felicitated with Justice Harriman on her new appointment. Likewise
Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick, the Immediate Past President of the Nigerian Football Federation, a global renowned sports official and ‘ son of the soil’ has also facilitated the appointment of the illustrious daughter, Justice Harriman of Warri Kingdom, Delta State, into the CAF Appeals Board.
The INYC Council in their press statement were pleased to read the designation of Justice Harriman as President, CAF Appeals Board. “As we congratulate Justice Harriman on her appointment,we want to also use this opportunity to call on other well meaning Itsekiris to emulate Mr. Amaju Pinnick by facilitating appointments and employment of qualified Itsekiris in places they wield influence. Itsekiri will be greater for it.
