The awards presentation event which will take place at Rotary Centre, 8, Ladoke Akintola Street, Ikeja, where Rotary International District 9110 will hold its 2023-2024 Humanitarian Reporting Awards to recognise and reward journalists and media houses on Wednesday, April 17.

In this category, Best Online newspaper in the reportage of clubs and RI D9110 activities, Legend News Online was nominated along side with NewzSpy and Brand Times online platforms.
According to Rotary International District 9110 District Governor, Ifeyinwa Rita Ejezie, “ the awards is aimed at strengthening the partnership between Rotary and the media by recognizing journalists and media organizations with an outstanding record of reportage of our District and Clubs humanitarian intervention projects in the communities”.
RHRA Committee Chairman, Assistant Governor Ehi Braimah, Publisher Naija Times Online Newspaper disclosed that fifteen categories are to be given awards.
Ehi Braimah noted that Awards categories include: Best Television Station in the coverage of Rotary Clubs and RI D9110 activities; Best Radio Station in the coverage of Clubs and RI D9110 activities; Best Newspaper in Reportage of Clubs and RI D9110 activities; Best Newspaper in reportage of clubs and District 9110 Polio eradication activities; Best Online newspaper in reportage of Clubs and RI D9110 activities; Best Online TV station in reportage of Clubs and RI D9110 activities; Best Online Magazine in reportage of Clubs and D9110 activities; Best Outdoor in promoting humanitarian and Club activities; Best Male Celebrity Endorser promoting Polio eradication; Best Female Celebrity Endorser promoting Polio eradication; Most Outstanding Broadcast Journalist in reportage of Clubs and D9110 activities;
Others are the Most Outstanding Print Journalist in reportage of Clubs and D9110 activities; Best Television Station in the coverage of Clubs and RI D9110 activities; Most Outstanding Public Image Director with media reportage of humanitarian stories and Overall Best Rotary Club in humanitarian reporting.
In his contribution, Vice Chairman, of the RHRA Committee, Rotarian Olalekan Otun, stated that the Provost Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Mr Gbenga Adefaye, would deliver the Keynote while Chairman Channels Media Group, Dr John Momoh, is the Special Guest of honour and Past District Governor and former Minister of Health, Prince Julius Adelusi – Adeluyi, and former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, would preside over the occasion.
He added that over 140 Rotary clubs and 5,000 Rotarians participated in nominating entries for the awards.
