JUST IN: Naira Marley And Sam Larry Released On Bail | The Legend News

Nigerian singer, Abdulazeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Samson Elutu, also known as Sam Larry, have finally been granted bail after spending several weeks in detention.

According to a report, the embattled industry figures were required to provide three sureties who would stand as guarantors, with a substantial sum of N20 million.

Additionally, Naira Marley and Sam Larry were instructed to surrender their international passports and to appear weekly at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The Magistrate sternly warned them to refrain from attempting to contact her directly, as any such attempts would be documented and potentially disclosed during court proceedings.

Recall that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were accused of physically assaulting on late singer Mohbad, which resulted in their remand by the police.

Last week, they took legal action against the Magistrate and the Police, filing a lawsuit in the Federal High Court in Lagos. They named the police and the magistrate as defendants and are seeking N20 million each in damages.

This lawsuit has sparked numerous conversations, with some people showing support for their cause and others highlighting the fact that they were accused of murder, leading to their detention.

This development came after a Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos State, on October 4, 2023, remanded Naira Marley and Sam Larry over allegations of bullying the late former Marlian Music signee Mohbad.

Although the Lagos State Police Command initially requested a 30-day remand for Naira Marley and the others in order to complete their ongoing investigation, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ruled that a 21-day remand would be sufficient.Newsrain reports.
