A devastating fire outbreak has occurred at Tejuosho Street, behind Tejuosho Market and NTA Tejuosho, with several wooden shanties and buildings along the canal engulfed in flames.
The fire, which started from an unattended cooking pot, has spread rapidly, threatening to consume adjacent buildings, including NTA, Oba Tejuosho house, and residential estates.
The Permanent Secretary LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke -Osanyintolu, confirmed the fire incident in a statement.
Emergency responders from LASEMA, Lagos Fire Service, LNSC, and NPF are at the scene, working tirelessly to combat the fire and prevent further damage.
According to the statement, no injuries or fatalities have been reported yet, the situation remains dire, and the operation is ongoing.
