In commemoration of this year’s international Women’s day,the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has celebrated Nigerian women. The celebration was held at the NCC Headquarters in Abuja, Dr. Aminu Maida, the EVC/CEO of NCC, emphasized the organization’s dedication to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. He stressed the importance of empowering and including women, acknowledging their significant contributions to the workforce.
Dr. Maida called on the government, corporate Nigeria, and the telecom and ICT industry to collaborate with NCC in establishing an ecosystem that supports the development and utilization of women’s talents and skills. He underscored the necessity of providing equal opportunities for women to progress and succeed in these fields.
The event featured prominent figures from NCC, such as Mrs. Nnena Ukoha, Ms. Hafsat Lawal, Engr. Abraham Oshadami, and Ms. Rimini Makama. Other attendees included Mr. Reuben Muoka, Dr. Nwanisobi Beluchi, and Mrs. Adejoke Atte.
The commemoration not only celebrated women’s accomplishments but also advocated for gender inclusivity and equal opportunities in the telecom and ICT industry.
