In a heart-wrenching appeal, Mr. Aloba, the father of the late music star Mohbad, begged the Lagos State government to assist in conducting a DNA test on his grandson, Liam, to determine his paternity.
Speaking at a press conference, Mr. Aloba’s emotional plea came after a coronal inquest court ordered a fresh autopsy test on Mohbad.
The distraught father expressed his pain and disappointment, seeking justice for his son’s mysterious death. He criticized Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, and mother for seeking to bury him while the investigation was ongoing. Mr. Aloba demanded to know the truth about Liam’s paternity, seeking the state government’s help in conducting a DNA test.
Human rights activists and legal professionals, including Rotimi Adigun and Aromolaran Adebowale, pledged to support the family in their pursuit of justice. They vowed to uncover the cause of Mohbad’s death and ensure that the truth was not swept under the rug.
