Famous Nigerian singer, Charles Chukwuemeka who’s best known as Charlie Boy has expressed his heart felt gratitude to God for surviving prostate cancer.
In a recent video shared on his verified Twitter handle, the 72 year old veteran singer described his battle with the dreadful disease as his hardest fought battle. He further described his survival of the disease as escaping from the jaws of death.
His words, “In my life I’ve fought so many battles and I’ve won so many battles. But for the past 10 days I’ve been battling with something very huge. As God will have it, he saved my life. I’ve been fighting my prostate issues. It’s not a small thing… You’ll see videos when you see me you’ll know that it’s from the jaws of death I escaped from. The sickness that have killed many people, it didn’t kill me Charlie Boy.”
Speaking further, he said;
“And I want to thank God for sparing my life, I want to thank my cousins who gave me great support, I want to thank my friends and well wishers for standing by me. This is the biggest fight I’ve ever had in my life.”
He appreciated the doctor for doing a “fantastic job” on him, he also revealed that he didn’t travel outside Nigeria to get himself treated.
