On the occasion of the Day of the African Child, with this year’s theme, “Education for All Children in Africa: The Time is Now,” serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need to ensure access to quality education for every child. Senator Tinubu stresses that a healthy reading culture is essential for quality education.
According to the statement, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu advocates for: Well-stocked and accessible libraries everywhere, Prioritizing reading as a daily activity in schools, and Strengthening book clubs across the nation to foster a love for reading and discussion among children.
She further emphasizes that now is the time to make reading a cornerstone of our children’s education. Senator Tinubu wishes all children a happy International Day of the African Child and prays for God’s blessings upon them and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
