Members of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development, OAFLAD have described the reintroduction of the Alternative High School for Girls by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu as a strategic intervention, capable of tilting the balance in favour of women.
According to the statement signed on 23rd September,2024, by Busola Kukoyi, senior special Adviser on Media to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This was at a high-level dinner on empowering Africas future through education hosted by the organization in partnership with TheirWorld.
The First Ladies of African countries present noted that with education, the girl child and women would have been better positioned for a greater productivity and more value.
Focused on empowering Africa’s future through education, the high level dinner , hosted by OAFLAD in partnership with TheirWorld, an organization led by former First Lady of United Kingdom, Sarah Brown take cognizance of the interventions by Nigeria’s First Lady in education and child birth registration .
