This was contained in a statement signed on December 19th, 2024, by Olayinka Oyebode, Special Adviser (Media) to the Governor, Ekiti State.

PUBLIC NOTICE
This is to inform the general public that the information circulating regarding a ₦25,000 Christmas cash grant from the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji is false and should be disregarded.
The Governor does not engage in any form of cash grant or cash distribution through unofficial channels or online platforms.
We urge the people of the state to remain vigilant and not to provide personal information to unauthorized websites or individuals who are out to defraud them.
All official communication from the Ekiti State Government are disseminated through official channels and designated state officials.
