The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has taken bold steps to ensure a seamless and pleasant experience for travelers at Nigerian airports. Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, announced a crackdown on extortion and illicit activities by touts, promising a zero-tolerance policy.
A special task force, led by Director of Special Duties, Henry Agbebire, will work with government agencies to enforce discipline and professionalism among airport staff. Magistrate courts will be established at international airports to expedite legal proceedings against offenders.
To enhance passenger experience, dedicated phone lines and QR codes will be set up for feedback, and airport personnel will display their on-duty cards and name tags for easy identification.
This move follows FAAN’s earlier assurance of a smooth journey for travelers, with upgraded security measures in place to ensure safety.
