A BUA truck transporting boxes of spaghetti was assaulted by criminals at the Dogarawa area along the Zaria-Kano expressway.
Dogarawa is a community situated on the outskirts of Zaria along the expressway, as reported by Daily Trust.
This incident occurred in the Suleja area of Niger State, barely one week after hoodlums hijacked trailers loaded with foodstuffs in the same area.
The trailers were heading for Abuja from Kaduna when the thugs blocked the road and made bonfires on the highway.
An eyewitness disclosed that the Friday incident occurred around 3.15pm after the driver of the truck parked by the road side to observe prayer. He said immediately after the driver parked, the hoodlums started carting away cartons of spaghetti.
The individual who witnessed the event characterized it as a regrettable and unfortunate occurrence, mentioning that such behavior had not been witnessed in the vicinity during their over 10 years of trading there.
According to the witness, the perpetrators did not leave a single carton of spaghetti on the truck. Reports indicate that a police team dispatched to the location apprehended five suspects.
“Not a single cartoon of the spaghetti was left by the hoodlums on the truck,” the source added
