At the fourth remembrance of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, prominent cleric Sheikh Muhydeen Bello delivered a powerful message to politicians, urging them to prioritize unity, fear God, and strive for a lasting impact.

He emphasized that their time in office is fleeting, and they will be remembered only by the legacy they leave behind.

Bello encouraged politicians to work together, love one another, and be truthful, honoring Ajimobi’s memory by building a united and harmonious political family. He reminded them that their actions have consequences and that they should strive to be remembered for their good deeds.

The event brought together dignitaries from across the political spectrum, including former Deputy Governors, Senators, and top government officials, all united in their tribute to Ajimobi’s legacy. Bello’s call to action inspired hope for a brighter future in Nigerian politics, where leaders prioritize the greater good and leave a lasting impact on their communities.

He said, “You ate with Ajimobi, yet you fought him, and you still think you are angry with him even in death. This is about Ajimobi; we are seeing his end; they will also see our ends, too. Let’s work for posterity and see what our future will look like.”

Bello’s call for unity among politicians included an appeal for them to love each other, be truthful, and work together in honor of Ajimobi’s memory. He urged them to consider what they will be remembered for after their death and to strive for unity within the party.

Dignitaries in attendance included the wife of the deceased, Florence Ajimobi; his younger brother, Wasiu Ajimobi; former Deputy Governor, Alake Adeyemo; former deputy governor to Governor Seyi Makinde, Rauf Olaniyan; Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Zacheus Adelabu; and Oyo APC governorship candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin. Also present were Senators Sharafadeen Alli (Oyo South), Fatai Buhari (Oyo North), and Yunus Akintunde (Oyo Central), along with a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Olalekan Alli.

Other notable attendees included former Sports Minister Sunday Dare, Adeola Akande, former Oyo APC Chairman Akin Oke, Akeem Agbaje, ex-Health Commissioner Azeez Adeduntan, ex-ALGON Oyo Chairmen Abass Aleshinloye, Yekeen Popoola, Kolapo Daisi, Bisoye Fagade, Seyi Adisa, Kehinde Subair, Azeez Bolaji, Olayemi Ariba, and Olatunji Olawale.
