It is another 24th of October but this one is special with a lot of difference. If someone had come up with a premonition that HRM, Alaiyeluwa Oba Muslim Abiodun Ogunbo the Ogudu Oshadi of Ogombo that he will be celebrating this year’s birthday as king, he would have dismissed it. But as Almighty Allah will have it, here we are today kabiyesi is celebrating his first birthday as kabiyesi of Ogombo.
For Kabiyesi, the journey to where he is today was not stumbled upon, rather, it is several years of hard work, good character, philanthropism and most importantly integrity and honesty.
Today’s birthday celebration has everything special about it. Aside been his first on the throne, Ogombo is witnessing unprecedented and wholistic transformation in all spheres of life.
For the kingdom with the largest land mass In the whole of Eti-Osa , the installation of Oba Abiodun,Ogunbo as the Ogudu Oshadi is the crowing glory in the history of the ancient town, and defining moment for a community that has always been struggling for a positive limelight.
Looking back to when kabiyesi was first installed as Baale, Ogombo , then lacked proper direction, the people were disunited and the community was a shadow of itself. Fast forward to 2022, Ogombo is now the synosure of eyes ,it is now the beautiful bride everyone wants to be associated with. Investors are scrambling to get a piece of Oba Abiodun led Kingdom. All thanks to the leadership and managerial style of HRM.
For the people of Ogombo, they are are pinching themselves to check if they are in a trance , but no, it is reality they are enjoying the best moments of their lives. Thier ancient kingdom now has a king.
As Alaiyeluwa enjoys his first birthday on the throne, I am of the belief that , what we are seeing now is just a tip of the iceberg. As we know that as the year progresses, more development and prosperity awaits Ogombo and its people.
Lastly our prayers for Kabiyesi is that Almighty Allah will continue to grant him long life, prosperity , good health and the wisdom needed to lead Ogombo to the promise Land.
