The Supreme Court has reaffirmed the election of Ademola Adeleke as Osun state Governor.
Delivering the judgement today were five member panel of the Apex court held that the court of appeal correctly reinstated Adeleke as Governor.
Oyetola and his party – the All Progressives Congress (APC) had alleged irregularities in the polls and challenged Adeleke’s victory in the Election Petitions Tribunal.
the Supreme Court has set the record straight in Osun State by reaffirming Governor, Ademola Adeleke as winner of the election.
The apex court had ruled on the outcome of the July 16, 2022 governorship election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the poll, saying he polled 403,371 votes to sack Oyetola who was the then incumbent with 375,027.
