The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, has postponed all official engagements in his office to mourn Mrs Aisha Ahmed Rufai who passed on early Monday, 20 March, 2023, after a brief illness.
The deceased was the Secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
Aregbesola while announcing the postponement in a release he signed personally, described the deceased as loyal, hardworking and committed officer.

With a heavy heart but in total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I join friends, family, and entire staff in mourning the passing of Mrs Aisha Ahmed Rufa’i, the Secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB). Mrs. Ahmed passed away this morning after a brief illness.
May Almighty Allah forgive her sins and grant her Jannatul-Firdaus.
In light of this sad news, all official engagements in my office are postponed until further notice as we mourn the loss of this loyal, hardworking, and committed officer.
