Allow Us Fix Nigeria’s Refineries, Female Engineers Tell Tinubu | The Legend News

Following Federal Government’s pledge to revamp Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna refineries, the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to allow female engineers fix the country’s moribund refineries.

The newly-elected APWEN Lagos Chapter Chairman, Mrs Atinuke Owolabi, stated this on Saturday, 19 August, 2023.

Owolabi assured that female engineers spread across the various arms of the profession can fix the refineries within a year.

“All women engineers are ready to come together and see how we can proffer solutions, ensuring we revamp these refineries”, she stated.

Nigeria heavily depends on the importation of fuel to meet up with the country’s monthly consumption demand.
