Fire Engulfs Plastics Factory In Ilupeju, Lagos | The Legend News

There was a  fire Outbreak at Mega Plastic manufacturing factory at Ilupeju Bypass in Lagos State.

According to an eye witnesses, the inferno was originated from the engineer’s office within the company’s premises.

The fire which burnt down plastic materials for production and properties worth millions of naira at the scene of the incident.

In a statement issued by Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent secretary, LASEMA.

It states “Upon the arrival of the Agency’s Local Response Team (LRT) at the scene, a Mega Plastic manufacturing company was discovered engulfed in flames.

PS LASEMA said after conducting further investigations, it was determined that the fire originated from the engineer’s office within the company’s premises. Unfortunately, the engineer was not present at the time the fire broke out, which led to the rapid spread of the inferno throughout the factory and warehouse areas.

Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties or injuries at the scene.

Currently, the Agency’s LRT, along with the Lagos State Fire Service, United Bank for Africa (UBA), Julius Berger, Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), are responding to the incident.

The operation is still ongoing, and all responders are working diligently to control and extinguish the fire.
