According to a medical report from Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State, on October 20, 2023, there was a mark of kyphoscoliotic curvature of the thoracolumbar spine with a gibbus in the boy’s thoracic region, while a wedge collapse of T10 vertebra was noticed.
Another report from Crestview Radiology Limited, signed by three radiologists, including Yemisi Toyobo, added that a mild central canal stenosis was noted, and that no enhancing paravertebral collection was seen.
The boy’s father, Rafiu Olusegun Fagbemi, said life has been tough since he lost his wife in 2015 and that he had spent all he has on the sickness.
“The boy can no longer walk, sit, or know when he needs to go to the toilet. He can no longer feel or know when he needs to urinate. He has stopped going to school because he can no longer walk or sit down properly due to pain from the broken spine,” the father lamented.
